Haunted Halloween Chamber Mixer – Tahoe City

Usher in the holiday spirit with the UC Davis TERC Haunted Hatchery Chamber Mixer just east of Tahoe City. This event is open to the public and intended for adults so please leave your little ghouls at home and revel in a night out! Enjoy fall themed appetizers and sip on a cup of spiced cider or a glass of wine while exploring the restored historic building and interactive displays in the Eriksson Education Center. Masters of the Night bat lecture immediately following the mixer. Corky Quirk, a licensed bat conservationist and rehabilitator, will discuss how myths and misconceptions of bats incite unfounded fears of our most important natural nighttime insect control. Learn about these unique mammals and their importance in our ecosystem. Live native California bats will be presented via-projector screen for viewing and discussion. Costumes welcome! Mixer 5 – 6 p.m. Lecture immediately following from 6 – 7 p.m. Cost: $10 Chamber Mixer & lecture admission, no-host bar. Cash only.
